SETTING THE BAR.
The best methodologies and philosophies for mastering legal information, managing the growing stockpiles of data and governing the information under your control haven’t changed much in the past 15 years.
We know. Our founder, Anne Kershaw, has been at the epicenter of knowledge strategy, data interrogation and information governance since the beginning. And for the past 15 years, she’s helped lead the way as these fields continue to grow and face new challenges. Many of the industry’s best practices still used today can be traced back to Anne’s 1993 work for IBM. In a time before the Internet, she built a data management system to support IBM’s case that enabled efficient data interrogation and repurposing of data in over 800 lawsuits across the country. Later, Anne would go on to fine tune the methods she used in historic cases for Phillip Morris and UPS.
How discovery became reasonable.
These early experiences as a litigation and compliance lawyer gave Anne the vision for what would someday become Reasonable Discovery. It was during this time that she became intrigued by the possibilities offered by technologies that reduce data-related legal risk and the opportunities they create for lawyers to provide better value to their clients.
In the years since, she’s become one of the foremost authorities in the fields of knowledge strategy, information governance and data interrogation. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, saving them millions of dollars while reducing their legal risk and equipping them with highly functional information knowledge strategies.
This changes everything.
Anne and her team launched Reasonable Discovery with a game-changing mission: to bring simple, affordable solutions to organizations facing today’s complex legal data management challenges. We help clients across all industries develop and implement knowledge management strategies that reduce risk, save money and provide strategic value. And we are uniquely qualified to build a knowledge strategy solution for any case requiring data interrogation as well as the creation of world-class information governance for any organization.
We offer a different approach.
Unlike large consulting firms or e-discovery and software vendors, our goal at Reasonable Discovery is always to get in and get out quickly and cost effectively. We arrive. We analyze. We find practical, workable solutions and demonstrate their defensibility in litigation. We leave organizations with leaner and cleaner data landscapes that save them money, mitigate risks and improve their competitive advantages.
Our team has a deep understanding of the complex and constantly- changing regulatory obligations facing today’s companies and the compliance challenges those obligations present. As a result, we create information governance systems that are seamless, forward-thinking and integrated with today’s technology. We believe that “reasonable” trumps “perfect” and “simple” is superior to “complex” when it comes to building information governance and regulatory compliance programs that are effective, enforceable and engender employee buy-in and adherence.
A partner like no other.
Reasonable Discovery is committed to providing value and transparency to clients. Every engagement is guided by the experience and expertise of Anne Kershaw and is staffed with consultants who employ the most efficient processes to find solutions tailored to an organization’s particular needs.
Reasonable Discovery is proud to be a woman-owned business. We field diverse client teams that bring innovation and fresh perspective to every engagement.
